I just really love Valentine's Day.
Historically, before Blake, I never had a Valentine. But I've always loved February 14th.
I loved making cards for all my friends, eating all the sugary treats I received from everyone, and most of all, I loved crafting a V-day ready outfit for the day.
The whole day is just so fun to me.
I've got to be honest with you guys though, there are somedays that I just wish I could wear a gorgeous off the shoulder dress for the night, or maybe go out in a skirt that is just a little too short. I can't help it. Some things that don't fit my modesty standards are still very appealing to me.
So, if there is anyone else out there like me, or if you are just stumped on what to wear, I've put together a little modest style/ inspiration guide for the day of love.
Going for a more casual look?
My necklace is from J Crew Factory, which, if you go into the store, you can still find it.
Maybe you want to be just a little more dressed up...
And If you're going for something a little dressy...
I'm going to teach you the greatest LBD modesty hack EVER! Anyone else notice that modest little black dresses are kind of hard to find? Once my clothing line is up and running I'll take care of that. But until then here is what you do; combine a black top, with a black skirt, and tuck your shirt into the skirt. If you belt it, then people really won't know it's two pieces. Genius right?
I have so many options now, I don't know what I'm gonna wear on Wednesday.
Also, this doesn't have to do with anything, but doesn't this seem like the perfect little capsule wardrobe?!
P.s. I want to start a modest dress community on social media! Hashtag #styleofmyown on instagram so I can see what you chose to wear this Valentine's Day!
